Best Products for Easy-Beachy-Wavy Hair

Best Products for Beachy-Wavy Hair - Mermaid Hair
The ability to step out of the shower and only apply one product to my hair and viola! I'm ready to go! Now that is a fabulous thing. I don't have tight ringlet curls which require little hold in styling products. For my natural waves I need just enough hold without weighing my hair down. I've tested many curl products and found most leave my hair crunchy, flat or frizzy. The six products featured here are my top picks for every price range.

Make-your-own Muesli

Make-Your-Own Museli Recipe
It’s fresh, it’s healthy, and it’s easy. I eat Muesli almost every morning. It is a wonderful alternative to store bought cereal. It's nearly impossible to get tired of the same flavor because I custom mix it every day. I originally discovered Muesli through Barre3's "28 To Great" Challenge and I've been perfecting my recipe variations ever since.
Pick Your Pairings: Make Your Own Muesli Recipe

Because I buy the non-perishable ingredients in bulk it is an inexpensive way to keep my breakfast options stocked. For the base of rolled oats and flax seed meal I go with Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods, they have an amazing selection and I appreciate the local factor that it is made and distributed here in Portland, Oregon. Walnuts, Almonds and Pecans I use commonly for baking and tend to keep in supply – making them easy and tasty options. Most weeks I pick up my fresh berries of choice. However Dried Goji Berries are an excellent non-perishable option (you can find them at most health food stores). I've experimented adding additional flavor with sugar or coconut shaves, however the mix is fabulous on its own. Add your milk of choice and your ready to go!

Glamour of Gold

Glamour of Gold - home decor ideas for gold accents

My love affair with gold is a more recent one. Up until a few years ago silver jewelry was the only type I owned. As my personal style and taste have become more defined I've gravitated away from silver and become enamored with gold. Not for the reason it can be more expensive or luxurious, but because the various shades of gold provide warmth and beauty in my eyes.

It's not about expensive big ticket items. I have found myself drawn to even simple gold paint as an accent, it brings with it a touch of romance and charm. This has carried from fashion into my home decor style. I've slowly been phasing out brushed silver decor items and adding gold accents to compliment my vintage studio apartment. I am drawn to them, I believe each shade of gold comes with it's own unique glow and simply adds a touch of classic glamour.
